While I've found Ultra Glow soap in ample quantity, the Ultra Glow skin cream has been very difficult to find. Over the past few years, I've visited several area beauty supply stores to try to locate Ultra Glow.

After not finding the products, I settled on purchasing various other skin creams. I've tried Artra, Ambi, Nadiola and Escoterica.

While this was an expensive endeavor, none of these skin creams softened my beautiful brown skin as well as Ultra Glow had. Finally, I asked one of these beauty store owners what gives? Why has it been so difficult to find a jar of Ultra Glow lately? Surprisingly, the beauty supply store owner was happy to share what he knew about the scarcity of this fine product. "We can only purchase and stock 2 or 3 of these products at time because they go bad quickly," he explained in broken English, "and the manufacturer will only sell the Ultra Glow cream by the dozen. We can't afford to buy a whole case when half of the case will go bad before we've had a chance to sell it."

Because I've used Ultra Glow skin cream for years, I, too, have had the unfortunate experience of having it go bad on me and so, I knew that the retailer's story was accurate.

So, I located the Ultra Glow manufacturer's website, https://keystone-labs.com and attempted to purchase the product there. I was terribly shocked to realise this product which is ordinarily $6.29 would ultimately cost me $12.24 with shipping.

But, knowing that preservation of my beauty has no price, I will pay that $12.24.

<!--

First, of course, wash the weave hair and condition. Blow dry the hair weave as straight as possible without disturbing the weft. If you have a dome hair dryer, dry your roots by sitting under that.

Once your hair is completely dry (make certain it is completely dry, because if you don't your hair will appear "puffy"), apply a small amount of a very light hair maintenance product. Then begin using your straightening comb and/or flat iron to straighten the curly hair weave.

<!--

Synthetic weave hair can not be colored. This is why it is important to choose weaving hair that best matches your hair color. Although human hair weave can be colored, this is not an easy process.

Lightening hair weave
To lighten a hair weave color, you will need a color booster and bleach. We prefer Miss Clariol's hair bleaching agent. Mix the hair color, 40 volume developer, and bleaching agent carefully. Place the hair weave in tin foil and apply the mixed color. The colorizing will have been successfully completed anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending upon the color. When you have achieved the color you want, wash the weaving hair THROUGHLY. And, condition it. Yes, you can and should condition weaving hair. Allow the a hair to air dry overnight. Then it is ready for use.

Darkening hair weave
To darken hair weave you will simply need a 20 volume developer and hair color. Mix these two together. Then apply to weave hair. I have found it best to apply dark colors to weave hair in a plastic bag. Allow the color to set until anticipated results are achieved. Most of the time, hair weave colors very quickly when you are attempting to darken it. Follow the steps above for washing, conditioning and drying hair weave after coloring.
<!--

Pull your own hair back into a ponytail and secure it with a rubber band. Take the weaving hair and put a bobby pin into the weft at the end of the weft of the weaving hair. The secure the bobby pin under the rubber band on your head. Continue to wrap the weaving hair around the rubber band on your head, securing every few wraps with a bobby pin. Once your final weft is secured, split the weaving hair in four parts. Take one of the parts and wrap it around the base of the pony tail. Continue that with all of the four parts, securing in place with bobby pins.

<!--

The answer to this question will astound you...you maintain your weave the same way you do your own hair! That's right, hair weave maintenance is just that simple.

Wash your hair and weave hair about once a week with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Brush the weave hair lightly while it is wet and feel free to use a leave in conditioner on your weave in hair and your own hair. For a sleek look, blow dry your weave in hair the same as you would your own hair. Then flat iron your hair and your weave hair (if that is the style you are going for).

And, last but not least, don't forget the finishing spray. Use the finishing spray sparingly.

At night don't for get to either pin curl your weave hair and your own hair or curl, and cover with a satin bonnet.
<!--

However, some hair weave specialists will also ask a friend to teach them how to create a hair weave. Most people just watch their hair care professional give someone else a weave in order to learn how to properly apply a hair weave.

Proper hair weave application starts with a clean head of hair. Most importantly, remember to dry the hair. If you would like your hair weave to look very natural, you will want to mold the hair first. This means that after washing and conditioning the hair, you will apply hair gel. Then wrap the hair around the head.

After the hair is COMPLETELY dry, then you can measure the weaving hair's weft and cut at the desired length. Once the weaving hair is cut, apply glue to the weft of the cut hair weave. Then apply the hair to the scalp. Continuing the above instructions until all of the required hair weave is applied.
<!--

I see so much damage due to over-processing because product is being applied to hair that is already relaxed. This leads to dry brittle, fragile hair that eventually breaks. Don’t get your weave hair relaxed too often. This also leads to over processing. Don’t apply relaxer and permanent color on the same day.
Although I recommend professional relaxer applications, I understand that everyone can’t afford a stylist. Get a girlfriend to do it for you. It’s almost impossible to relax your own hair and keep the relaxer off hair that’s already been processed and only relax the new growth. If you think that some overlapping may happen, apply conditioner to the previously relaxed hair to coat it and help prevent damage.

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; If it’s looking a little rough, use a pressing comb to straighten the new growth. Press only the areas that will be seen, like you’re edges and along any part. Not only will this keep your hair healthier, but you’ll keep the fullness that’s sometimes lost when it’s freshly relaxed.

Always wait a week or so after relaxing to use a permanent color. Rinses are okay to use even on the day of your relaxer. Remember to color only the hair that hasn’t been treated before unless you are changing hair colors.

70% of women relax their weave hair every 8 weeks.

Using some of the natural healers can help keep your hair weave fresh and healthy. While herbal remedies have long been associated curing everything from the common cold nd physical ailments to cleansing the body and managing stress, herbs also have a stimulating and medicinal affect on the hair and scalp. When using herbs for the hair, it’s essential to keep several key factors in mind. Don’t dismay if a herbal remedy requires the use of dried herbs. Instead, simply use triple the amount of fresh herbs. If the ingredients require fresh herbs and you’ve only got dried herbs in the cabinet, use only one-third of the suggested amount.

<!--

Semi-permanents color and coat the hair shaft.

Permanent Color – Is a dramatic change of color, changes between 2-6 shades brighter or darker. Permanent color is best applied by an experienced individual (this method involves chemically lifting the hair and penetrating the cuticle layer, breakage can occur if the color is applied incorrectly).

To apply the permanent haircolor the scalp should be examined for any abrasions. (If the scalp is not normal do not apply hair color). A strand and patch test must be done first to test your hair and skin’s reaction to the color. If there are no problems then proceed carefully. The hair is then sectioned into four parts. A protective cream is then applied to the skin around the entire hairline. Protective gloves should be worn while applying color.

Mixture should be applied to the darket part of the hair using 1/8 inch sectioning. Apply the mixture to the hair from roots to ends. After all the mixture has been applied to all sections, pile the hair on top of the head and allow it to process for specified time. The mixture should not be rubbed into the scalp. After achieving the desired shade, rinse and shampoo. Remember, if you have a relaxer, wait at least 4 weeks to apply color.

<!--

The lace front hair weave is very versatile. A woman can pull the hair weave into a pony tail or part her hair. She can even swim in a lace front hair weave.

What are Lace front hair weaves?

Lace Front Hair Weave appear as your own hair but are generally wigs. With special adhesives, the the hair weave is attached to your hairline. Your head is measure first to ensure a good fit.

They can be made by lacing high quality Remi weave hair into the lace base. High quality hair types usually include African American hair and European hair. No matter what your hair type is, the weave hair is altered checmically to make certain that it is the texture you desire.

It's great because now woman can wear any hair texture without worrying about if their own hair is color or permed. If you have thin hair, you can have thick hair in no time and you can have straight hair, curly hair, or wavy hair in a flash. It is a great way to allow your own hair a break. And it can be take off and put back on at anytime.

Background on the lace front weave

The details for creating a lace front weave are pretty intricate. Each of the hairs are hand-tied to the lace, which is your choice of color, to give the appearance of hairs coming out of your scalp when properly applied. Each of the hand-tied knots are bleached to aid in the illusion of the hairs growth. Think of a pair of panty~hose. You are able to go into the store and purchase them in any skin tone you like (just as the lace wig). Then when you place them on over your own leg, it blends as your own skin (just as the lace wig would when placed over your head). The lace used to make lace wigs is a bit more durable than panty~hose, and very fragile, but the idea is still the same. Imagine each little hole on the panty~hose being used to tie single strands of hair onto. Then you place the panty~hose over your skin and it blends with your skin, only now there is hair hanging down. Now just imagine that panty~hose being placed onto your own head with a flesh toned wig cap underneath to cover the color of your hair and camouflage as skin. Now, you have the concept of the lace front weave.

The Stich-n-Go Hair Weaving Technique

This technique is most often used with the Beverly Johnson Weaving Hair

Weaving Instructions

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; But, one regime is most important...loving the hair that God gave you. Whether you have a partial hair weave, hair extensions or a lacefront wig, one must take care of one's own hair, also. Be careful not to damage your hair. Let it breathe sometimes. Get frequent hair shampoos and massages. Better yet! Massage your own scalp while sitting in traffic or watching TV.

Perhaps most importantly to having long & strong hair is eating right and exercising. Besides feeling good, exercising helps increase the blood circulation to the scalp.

Don't forget to condition your hair! We always lotion our skin after a shower, right? Well, why would we forget to "lotion" our scalps after washing our hair? We shouldn't. Conditioning your hair is a great way to prepare for a weave.

And, it make your hair feel oh so good!
<!--
